ABOUT ME

"... L'esecuzione di Vincenzi, gradevole e ricca di felici scelte timbriche, valorizza queste musiche non trascendendo mai dai contorni di un'elegante pacatezza..."

Andrea Macinanti, Arte Organaria e Organistica

STUDIES / ACTIVITIES / INTERNATIONAL

Organist and harpsichordist from Verona, graduated in 1984 (with honors) in organ and organ composition at the Conservatory of Verona under Umberto Forni and in 1989 in harpsichord (again with honors) at the Conservatory of Mantua under Sergio Vartolo.
He subsequently attended various courses of interpretation and specialization with leading musicians: Colin Tilney and Ton Koopman for the harpsichord; J.L.G. Uriol, L.F. Tagliavini, and Wijnand Van De Pol for the early and baroque organ repertories, and J. Langlais for romantic and contemporary organ music.

To pursue his interests in Gregorian Chant, he attended the specialist courses held in Cremona by L. Agustoni and M.C. Billecocq on the repertory, its functions and authentic interpretation.

He performs frequently as a concert artist, as both soloist and director/concert-master, in various baroque chamber ensembles, and has taken part in important festivals and concert seasons (Ente Rocca di Spoleto, Festival Lodoviciano di Viadana, the Teatro Olimpico of Vicenza, the Fondazione Levi, the Early Music Festival of Trento, Antichi Organi di Bologna, etc.). He has played all over Italy and in various countries of the European Union.

He collaborates regularly with the orchestra of "I Virtuosi Italiani".

Always active in research, he has worked in the field of rediscovering musical works of the 18th and 19th centuries with editions and publications of a historical and musicological character. He also cultivates a specific interest in the organological aspects of musical practice, by taking an active part in the recovery of early keyboard instruments - organs, harpsichords and fortepianos - and promoting the repertories suited to each specific instrument.

His performances have received wide critical and public acclaim, for both the technique and the interpretative/expressive skills displayed. He has taken part in TV recordings (RAI and other regional broadcasting networks) and has made CD recordings, both with ensembles and as an organ and harpsichord soloist.

He also participated in a documentary film for ARTE France: "D'Amore e di Guerra" on Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda by Monteverdi, directed by Ilinca Gheorghiu.

He is organist on the historic “De Lorenzi” organ of the parish church of Pescantina (near Verona).
After teaching for many years at the conservatories of Sassari, Adria, Rovigo, Potenza and Venice, he has recently been appointed teacher of harpsichord at the Conservatorio “F. E. Dall’Abaco” of Verona.
